The most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing that God has entrusted me with the gift of life. Giving birth was the greatest miracle, and I get to wake up in the middle of the night, watch my kids sleep, and marvel at how God has made a way. Through them, I’ve learned to love unconditionally and operate in His grace. The laughs, the jokes, and being their first line of defense are moments I cherish. Looking at them, I’m reminded that God has been better than good to me.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I’ll never forget the family function where my kids didn’t care what others thought—they just wanted to have fun together. My 7-year-old son dared to approach and ask a woman to dance, took her hand, escorted her to the floor, and danced until they both broke a sweat. My 5-year-old daughter danced like she was a regular on Soul Train, ending the song with a kick leg and then split. It was a hilarious, heartwarming moment that showed their confidence and talent.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000, I’d give some, save some, and spend some. As a single mom, I’m always juggling work and family, so I’d use the money to breathe a little easier. I’d save for my kids’ futures (maybe buy them a car now that they are teens), support meaningful causes, and treat my family to a luxurious camping vacation (because camping is where the best memories are made). And, if I’m being honest, I’d probably take a week off work just to rest unbothered in a nice big bed with a view. #dream
