The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into kind, resilient people. Three of my four children are deaf, and each has faced challenges with strength and grace. Two are married, and three have earned master's degrees. I'm proud of their accomplishments, but even more proud of their hearts, their bond, and the way they support each other. Being their mom has been the greatest gift of my life.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?The day they turned on their hearing aids and they got to hear my voice,the birds,the traffic,all the things they were missing. The smiles,the faces they made,the sounds they made -it still brings tears to my eyes . just pure joy
What would you do with $20,000?I'd split the $20,000 between my four kids. They each have something they need, and I'd love to help with that—plus have them buy a pair of shoes and a keepsake in memory of their grandmother, who was a total shoe fanatic. We still laugh about her endless collection, and this would be a fun, sweet way to honor her.We just lost her.
