Leeanna Penn

I don't think I'm a super mom, but I try hard. I am a single mom to 2 special needs girls, one amazing son, and one fabulous foster daughter

We would like to thank you for supporting Leeanna Penn in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is when I see my children doing better, being stronger, and braver than I ever could be. Seeing my kids achieve more than I ever could is the best part. And just so I can have it somewhere I am not allowed to share my foster daughter on social media so I will tell you she is beautiful, tall, and kind. She has long braids and new glasses that make her look even more stunning than she already did.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Before my foster daughter was mine she came over with her youngest brother and we were decorating the Christmas tree. They had never decorated a tree before. So our entire family and my extra two decorated a tree together while listening to Christmas music. The way all of the children worked together and supported each other was amazing. They all smiled and sang and it was the first time we were all family. I'm looking forward to her being able to have this as her new family tradition.

What would you do with $20,000?

My home is falling apart. It needs flooring, foundation work, a new range, walls fixed, windows fixed, ac/heat, and a list of other things in order to fix it. I want this home to be safe and energy efficient. Our electric bill is usually 600 a month or higher. I also want to give my foster daughter her own space in my house.
