Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I don’t know about everyone else, but I absolutely love hearing my daughter laugh. Either with me, alone in her room or with her friends. We both struggle with adhd, anxiety and depression, so doing little things to bring her joy also bring me joy.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

There are so many to pick from, but I have been working very hard to better our lives. We recently moved out on our own. We had no furniture, but when I came home, Amour had set up a little living room for us. Put out folding chairs next to each other, covered it with a blanket to look like a couch and used a box as a coffee table. She set us up for our very first movie night together. It was such a beautiful moment & I look forward to more of those with her in the future as we continue to grow.

What would you do with $20,000?

I am currently trying to buy a place of my own, but I was only approved for a small amount. That money would go towards a down payment to get us out of the unknowingly unsafe apartment we moved into. My lease here is almost up. I am also working towards opening my own bakery. My professional lease is up in August, so it’s sink or swim. I have to finish a home loan before I can begin my small business loan, so that money would really help secure our future and get us into a much better place.
