Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Man. That’s a powerful question. I love the household dynamics of the siblings relationship. The way they love each other in their unique way. My eldest is 21 years old and my youngest is 4. The next kiddo is 6, then I have a soon to be 16 year old. And, let’s not forget our Cat. Her name is Nina Simone. All 6 play, fight, (yes even the cat), joke on each other and fill the home with joy and Blessings.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Last year, we explored Washington D.C. we explored as tourist and did something everyday. One day, we toured the capital building and everyone was pretty much through with walking. We started walking and it’s just a cute lil sprinkle. Then we realize, we can’t find the lot where our card was parked. Then it starts pouring. We have a kiddy umbrella and an adult sized umbrella. What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000.00 would be great seed money for my family. I am a lawyer by trade,but just a mom and wife and lover of real people and their stories. So I would endeavor to grow the $20,000.00. I am a firm believer in sowing into my direct community, especially for such a time as this. I know of a community based organization who provides hands on, methodological work in S. Dekalb.
