What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching your children discover their spark, and start navigating a world of possibilities knowing that you lead them through the start of this journey. Your children are individuals that find things they become passionate about, dreams of their own, and things they want to try as they get older. Every second of it is scary. Moms always doubt themselves, and fear screwing up or doing everything wrong. But then, when we stop and just watch, we see how much our kids do, we can't help but smile.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

When they were little, we had a big thunder storm outside. I remembered a story my favorite librarian read to me called Thunder Cake. So we piled in the car, went to the library, checked out the book. At home we built a tent on the living room, made brownies while we counted the thunder, and read the book. Now as teens, when it rains, they always look at me and say, "It's brownie time!"

What would you do with $20,000?

I am a single mom who accrued some debt trying to get my kids to a safer environment. With 20,000, I would pay off the credit card debt that got us into our own apartment, I would pay off my taxes, and I would take my daughters on a trip to Hawaii because that's on their bucket list. I would LOVE to give that to my daughters for a graduation present. It would mean so much to us, and give us another memory we would never forget.
