Krista

I’m a super mom because I get up and try, everyday, no matter what, to make the best memories, moments and best days for my son, everyday.

We would like to thank you for supporting Krista in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is, knowing that, out of all things that went wrong in my life,I was chosen from Heaven, to be a mother. And I continue to prove every single day that I can do my job, not perfectly, but right. I’m an imperfectly perfect mom. As a woman, this is life’s greatest gift to me, motherhood.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

The day I born my son, cesarean, he was moved to intensive care unit. Fluid invaded his lungs during birth. Afterwards, I collapsed. Blood and fluid filled my lungs, I couldn’t breathe on my own. I had emergency surgery just hours after my cesarean. My birth experience is something I’ll never forget. My son is an only child. I don’t know if I could’ve lived without him. Knowing he would be with me in the end, is my greatest memory.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would choose a children’s foster care unit from my hometown to donate to kids in need. The rest of the funds would go towards my son and his livelihood. I would also put emergency money away and make arrangements, so I know that, in case anything ever happened to me, my son is going to be okay. He will know how much I love him. To infinity, and beyond.
