What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into their own unique personalities, even amidst the chaos of medical school and mom guilt. Seeing my daughter use deep breaths to calm herself—something I taught her when I thought she wasn’t listening—or my son instinctively bringing me a nursing pillow for his newborn sister shows me how much they absorb. It’s a joy to witness them become their own people, full of quirks, kindness, and resilience, even as toddlers.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One night, overwhelmed with everything, I started crying while rocking my 6-month-old daughter to sleep. As I sang her a lullaby, she grabbed my face and pressed hers against mine. She tried to give me a kiss, but at her age, it was just heavy breathing on my face. It was so sweet that I cried even more—this time out of pure love. Even in moments of doubt, my kids remind me that to them, I am more than enough, and their love is unconditional.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000, I’d first relieve some financial stress by paying off bills and student loan interest. Then, I’d invest in my family’s future—setting aside savings for my kids and ensuring we have stability as I continue medical school with three little ones. If possible, I’d also take a small family trip to create cherished memories as a family of five. It would be a mix of practical needs, meaningful moments, and a little breathing room to enjoy life.
