Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Knowing that I get to pour into and develop my child in a way that I didn’t get to experience. The ability to see my child develop into their own person everyday and hearing from others how respectful and kind he is. It gives me confirmation that all of my struggles to ensure he’s the best version of himself aren’t going in vain. I firmly believe that I’m raising an adult and try to ensure I’m instilling values that will create an awesome human.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I can't pinpoint one singular memory, but one thing that I’ll always hold onto is when my little one just randomly tells me he loves me. Having quiet moments with him in the morning or at night are special especially when those tend to be the only times that I see him and get to spend time with him because I’m working nonstop to provide.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a single mom, building a financial future on my own is one thing that many make seem impossible but I know it’s possible. I’d use that money towards a down payment on a home. And also towards my son’s education fund. A huge goal is to ensure that my child doesn’t have the burden of financial stress as a young adult like I did or have to witness an exhausted mother who never has the energy for him because of working so much. This $20,000 will allow that to happen.
