Kieran Schuettler

I never gave up on my baby. After 7 years of infertility, we welcomed our miracle baby boy into the world at Christmas.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I’m rewarded every day when my little one looks up at me with a smile on his face, reminding me I’m his home, especially at 2:00am. Even though I’m tired, seeing that smile makes the sleepless nights worth it. I’m rewarded watching his face light up when he learns something new with each milestone he hits, and knowing I’m shaping him into the person he’s going to be in this world. I’m rewarded knowing I’m this little miracle’s mama.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Hearing my baby’s first cry is a memory that will be forever engrained in my mind. After trying for seven long years, I was finally able to hold my baby in my arms and tell him ‘I’m your mama.’ The amount of joy I felt was overwhelming and incredible because he’s my miracle baby.

What would you do with $20,000?

I want my little one to have everything in this life. I would put the money towards schooling for him, whether it’s college or trade school. I know what it’s like to come out of school with thousands of dollars of debt. I want him to start his life and career without that burden on his shoulders.
