My kids chose me to be their mom and every day I choose them. I’m not perfect but to my kids I’m the best and that’s all that matters to me.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kennedy Anderso in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Seeing my kids reach milestones for sure brings a tear to my eye , because it reflects the work I’ve been doing with them and when I’m doubting if I’m doing enough they show me otherwise. Being a mom is a thankless job and although my kids seem like they don’t appreciate what I do for them I know when they get older they will, but for now their “you’re the best mom, when you make Mac and cheese” is enough for me to know I’m the best mom and they wouldn’t change me for the world.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I’ll never forget their births of course. Both were completely different even the way I felt about being a mom changed. I was scared in different ways but when they finally got here I felt a calm energy that I knew everything was going to be okay. Although I didn’t want to be a mom so young I see why I needed to become one twice. Being a mom has kept me alive , coming out of some of the darkest days of my life my kids saved me.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000 I will be able to give my kids experiences regularly. They love to travel and are always asking when we are going to get on an airplane again. I want my kids to be able to say they did and went to this place and that place, to learn about different cultures. This would allow me to help expand my kids minds so that when they get older they aren’t stuck in a box and understand how big the world truly is. My kids deserve to have experiences and I’m going to give them that regardless.
