What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is showing my kids what’s possible. I’m teaching them things I never knew and building a life where they thrive. Going to school inspired my son to want college and my daughter to dream of being a lawyer like me. They see me pushing through, doing it all—school, cooking, cleaning. Knowing I’m their example and reason to dream bigger is the greatest reward. They’re my purpose, and that’s the best part of being a mom.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

A memory I’ll never forget is when my son, who never liked school, told me during a drive, “Mom, I think I’m going to go to the same college you did.” It was a moment I knew he was watching and my hard work was paying off. And when my daughter, who struggled socially, was praised by her teacher after therapy and support, I knew I was giving them the tools to thrive. Seeing them grow, make good choices, and be kind—that’s everything.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I would use it to pay my law school tuition. I'm currently behind and at risk of being dropped. As a first-generation college student with no co-signers or financial help, I’ve had to choose between tuition and feeding my kids. I work for a nonprofit, so money is tight, but I’m passionate about helping others. This funding would cover a year of school and ease the burden, allowing me to stay on track and continue chasing my dream of becoming a lawyer.
