I became a single mom last year. While I never imagined being “divorced”, God truly set me free from a life of heartache. Glory be to him!

Receive Text UpdatesKnowing that I am the safest place in the world for another human being. Sure, some days are oh so hard, but at the end of every day, I’m the last person he sees before he closes his eyes. I’m the last voice he hears whisper tiny loves into his ears and heart, and the warmth of my embrace offers him safety and security.. and at absolute zero expense. The most rewarding part of my motherhood journey is the surrender… of myself completely.. for him.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? Two memories actually. The first is when I asked my son to help pick up his toys, and he said he couldn’t because his “old crickity crackity knees” hurt (age 5). The second is the way he loves to worship with me. On many occasions, we’ve sat together in the car with the radio blasting Holy Forever by Chris Tomlin. It’s such a special moment to see your child love Jesus the way you’ve always hoped and prayed they would.
What would you do with $20,000?I would pay off the credit card debt I accrued going through an unexpected divorce last year. I would also put some aside for an emergency savings and pay his school tuition for the 25-26 school year. Though we don’t have much money, I believe it’s important to send him to a Catholic school to receive the foundational education of our faith. Since I am no longer able to stay home with him, I want him to be in the hands of someone who will pour into him, both educationally and spiritually.
