Being a bonus mom for 12 years, I strive daily to be a resilient role model, showing my kids, especially Aliya, the power of love & strength
We would like to thank you for supporting Kate Garren in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my children grow into kind, loving, and intelligent individuals in a challenging world. It fills me with pride and joy to see them embody the values that matter most and know I've played a part in shaping who they are.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My favorite memory of my children is the day we spread my father's ashes. At a young age, they sensed how deeply I was grieving his unexpected loss. We went to the track where he set school records, and as I wept, they lined up and raced each other on the very track that inspired his passion for running. In that moment, I stood in awe, as they instinctively honored their grandfather and brought an unexpected peace to my heart.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won $20,000, I’d invest every cent in my bonus kids’ dreams. I’d enroll my sons in elite football camps to fuel their passion and take my daughter on her dream beach trip to see wild horses—a bucket list wish. I’d also start a fund to help her pursue her goal of becoming a top-tier cosmetologist. My life’s work has been supporting them, and this prize would allow me to give back in a way that truly celebrates their ambitions and our bond.
