I am a first time mom who works a full time job&part time in my sister’s business. All while fighting PPD I also manage to care for myself.
We would like to thank you for supporting Katahri Smith in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is waking up to my baby boy’s beautiful smile every morning. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a mother and now i get to live that dream. It’s still so surreal that I’ve become a mother, but I am so blessed and excited to know that I have the privilege of raising a precious baby boy who is also helping me grow as a woman.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget this one time that I was changing his diaper& he started to pee. I screamed “Woah!” and covered him back up quickly. He looked at me and started laughing, and I couldn’t help but laugh myself. Even when I’m having a rough day in motherhood, he never fails to remind me why to keep pushing through everyday. Postpartum depression has honestly been one of the hardest things I’ve gone through in life, but I would do it all over again for my baby boy. There’s no love that compares.
What would you do with $20,000?If I win the $20,000, I plan on putting half in savings for my son’s future. I plan on using the other half to fully invest into my sister’s business with intentions to be able to quit my job for more flexibility with my schedule & availability at home. I want to be able to spend as much time with my son as possible while still making money to help support us. He is most important to me& I don’t want to miss out on any milestones.
