Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my kids navigate the things I went through as a kid but with much more grace than I had. I think a big part of that is because I can look back at what was missing for myself, what I needed at that time and show up being that present and understanding force of encouragement and guidance to lead them along the way.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My one daughter was at the pediatricians and was getting more nervous as time went on waiting for the doctor to come in. I tried to remind her that everything was going to be okay, and even though she is scared in that moment, all feelings pass, no single emotion can last forever. She thought about that for a moment and said “that’s not true” so I questioned “What does she mean?” She replied with, “What about happy…I always feel happy mommy.”- I knew then, I must be doing something right.

What would you do with $20,000?

Being blessed with $20,000 I would take my family on a vacation, slow life down for a bit & take in more of what this world has to offer. The remaining amount would go towards our new non-profit Whispers Bridge Inc. A traveling retreat organization dedicated to bringing more light into this world by providing peace, healing and community.
