I am a single mom to an amazing 7 year old boy. I am a full time nurse, a makeup artist, and most importantly a super mom!
We would like to thank you for supporting Karlye Frantz in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching your child grow and change as they make their way towards independence. Every wonderful change and every difficult change, beautiful in its own way. Though it’s difficult at times, being a single parent allows me the opportunity to try and shape my son into a strong, independent, and loving man.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget the moment he was born. I was in a domestic violence situation, living in a storage garage, with my son’s father. I was riddled with anxiety. I ended up spending the last 9 weeks of my pregnancy on bed rest. He was delivered via emergency C-section. I remember looking over at his little face.. all smooshed & bruised from his difficult journey into the world.. I knew immediately that God was with me and the unconditional love I’d been praying for had finally arrived.
What would you do with $20,000?My dream, for many years now, has been to give my son a home with a yard. To be able to own a home and create lifelong memories, that’s all I want.
