Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing our values and beliefs played out in their lives. I love hearing them pray for their friends and people they know who are sick or hurt, or sharing Jesus with their friends. When they solve a problem or handle a situation really well without our help, or share things and show that they love each other, that makes my heart melt.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I have a sweet memory of when my daughter (now 11) was 8-9 months old. She was having a hard time sleeping in her crib so I brought her to our bed and I can vividly remember lying on my side, facing her, and she on her side, and I held her tiny hand as we fell asleep. I know it says 1 memory, but I also remember my husband and I trying to watch a movie one night and our 4-5-month-old son (now 8) would not go to sleep and kept crying. Still a fond memory though because being a mom is the best.

What would you do with $20,000?

We'd pay off our bit of debt for sure and likely redo our kitchen - our pantry is so small that while digging in it, the jar of honey fell out...thankfully, it didn't break as it landed on my toe. 😆 I'd also love to plan a little family getaway as the kids are such great ages now and I just want to make some amazing new memories with them and do things that we haven't done before.
