I am deeply moved when I receive an unexpected hug, when he tells me he loves me and that I am beautiful. His vibrant personality significantly enhances my daily life, and I feel fortunate to be his mother. As an empath with an old soul, he consistently displays a strong sense of compassion and a willingness to help others. The most gratifying experience, however, is when I receive an unexpected compliment regarding a specific situation in which Colton demonstrated kindness and compassion. 🫶🏼

It's a daunting task to recall just one. Colton has had many remarkable one-liners, including his statement at 2 1/2, “mom, having a p*nis is a great responsibility.” Another heartwarming memory is when he crafted a lunch from leaves and sticks, calling the leaves cheese balls. The video is so adorable. We were driving after my dad passed away, he pointed to the sky and said “mommy that’s heaven. That’s where grandpa is.” I naturally became tearful, and he goes “he has the best seat in house”

We would take a much-needed vacation, including a plane ride, which would be his first. I would also invest in starting my own side business, a venture I thoroughly enjoy. Following the loss of our two labs and my father, his grandfather, we have faced significant challenges. Despite his father's absence during his formative years, he consistently demonstrates compassion, understanding, and resilience. His inspiring demeanor motivates me daily to become a better person.
