If you meet my son youll see why. I do my best to show up in ways i needed my mother to show up for me when I was growing up.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jill Alvarez in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The best part of being a mom is hearing my son share how he navigates challenges and stays true to himself. He recognizes when peers act out to seem cool and chooses to walk away or guide his friends to do the right thing. I’ve always taught him to think for himself and make his own decisions, and when he shows that in real life, it makes me so proud. Knowing he carries those values into the world reassures me that he’s growing into a strong, independent, and kind-hearted person.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?A memory I won’t forget is watching my son in a basketball game, frustrated and winded. He stepped out for a breather, and I gave him advice on guarding his opponent. When he got back in, the kid tried the same move, but my son applied what I told him, stole the ball, and scored a layup. It made me so proud because it showed he’s coachable and trusts my guidance. Seeing him take advice, adjust, and succeed in the moment was unforgettable.
What would you do with $20,000?Pay off my debt and put the rest into an account for my son where it grows in interest and i can continue to add the funds to it.
