Jetaime Farley

I am a super mom because I raised my now 19 year old daughter to be strong, independent, smart, and a leader. She is now in college.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the sleepless nights and hard work pay off with my daughter. My daughter Jemaria is my “Angel”. We have been through many tests and challenges but we made it to this point. It is a reward to see my daughter as a Freshman at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She is studying Psychology.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory of Jemaria that I will never forget is when she asked me to relocate from Baltimore, Maryland to South Carolina. I said yes and Jemaria and I moved. Jemaria has always been a leader and speaks her mind. She explained to me why we should move and why it would benefit the both of us. I scared to move but I took the leap of faith and we moved South. Jemaria was in the 10th grade when we moved to South Carolina. She had to start a new school and meet new friends. She was nervous.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would save $10,000 and use the other $10,000 to purchase Jemaria a used car to get around in and pay bills.
