I have been a single mom since I was 19 years old. Times have been really tough, but we have made it through and keep on fighting each day.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jessica cohen in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding part is watching my son grow and blossom. He continuously surprises me with new talents he has or learns. He is the one who keeps me motivated to keep going.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will always remember the day my son was born. I was going to have to give up my rights to his dad because I didn’t have any support. I was still filled with so much joy and love. I never felt that way before. When he arrived I never wanted to let him go. My parents always told me having me was the best thing that has ever happened to them, and I finally knew why. A month later he had a baby warming party and my parents realized he needed me so they finally supported me. I was over the moon!
What would you do with $20,000?I would use some of the money to invest in an event venue/ vacation home to make a better life for me and my son. I would also take him on a trip to wherever he wants to go because it has always been a struggle being a single mom to make ends meet. I would finally be able to plan a trip without any worries of how much money I can spend.
