Jessenia Rose

Feeling like I’m not a Super Mom, most of the time. I think it pushes me to always strive to be better and grow.

We would like to thank you for supporting Jessenia Rose in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The forced reflection. Which is also brutal at times but as I mentioned growth before- reflection is necessary and sometimes it is hard to see past the condensation on the mirror. Sometimes the mirror is too heavy. But a child can wipe away the mist and will help hold up the mirror, even if they hold it a little too close to your face.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

When we would go to the beach, I would have to hold him under his arms while standing in the shallow waves because he would let his body go limp. He always had a sweet smile on his face as the water gently swayed and pulled him. I could feel his weight shift as the water rocked him. He was so relaxed and at peace, if I wasn’t there he would have probably let it carry him away.

What would you do with $20,000?

Other than pay off some debts/bills. I would hope to go back to school. I want to show my child how important education is and that it’s never too late to go back or reach a goal. I work with kids as well, and I would love to study Childhood Development and Library Sciences. It would better help me understand the youth I’m around. Especially those with higher needs like my son. I want to know I have not only the passion but the correct knowledge and practices to help support them in their growth
