As a single mother I have broken generational & DV barriers to show my daughter how to be strong, be a leader & that her voice matters
We would like to thank you for supporting Jennifer Revilla in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Watching my daughter grow, evolve, and conquer her goals. Seeing her smile and seeing how proudly she carries herself as well as how she faces challenges with her head held high. I will never forget how resilient she is! She has gone through surgeries, allergy testing, and physical therapy, and yet she is determined. She has made honor roll since kindergarten despite all barriers and even has a mural of her in a cap and gown painted in her honor outside of her school.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget the day she had her first ear tube surgery. When going to bed that night, as I lay next to her she seemed a bit scared. I asked what was wrong she told me to stay quite and asked what that sound was. I explained that was the sound crickets make at night. My eyes teared up, seeing her so amazed by the sound. At that moment, I knew the decision to get that surgery was the right one.
What would you do with $20,000?Ah, my daughter loves to travel. I would love to take her to Hawaii now that she is a teen as I think she would enjoy it. I would also be able to register her for more hockey clinics, get new hockey gear for her and save some of these funds for college. For myself, I would love a simple Mani and Pedi day!
