Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

For me, it's the sacred bedtime moments—when the day slows down and I get to pray a blessing over each of my boys. There’s something so powerful and tender about speaking life over them as they drift off to sleep, covering them in love, protection, and peace. But what truly melts my heart is what comes after. I often sneak back in later—just to watch them sleep. Their faces are so peaceful, their breathing so soft, and in that stillness, I see glimpses of heaven.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One unforgettable memory is our 2021 vacation to Huntington Beach, California. We stayed at a hotel with a cozy fire pit by the pool, surrounded by soft sand—it felt like a beach paradise. One evening, my oldest and youngest sons teamed up to playfully bury the middle child in the sand. Their giggles echoed through the night, and the glow from the fire lit up their joyful faces. It was one of those moments where time stood still, and I felt pure gratitude just watching them laugh together.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pour it into something deeply personal and profoundly important—supporting His Girls' Discipleship as they work to build a larger home for women and children impacted by addiction and sex trafficking. As someone who has survived sex trafficking, I carry both the pain and purpose. As a survivor of the October 1, 2017 Las Vegas shooting, we also need to replace my current service dog who has cancer. And I will keep writing inspiring non-fiction!
