What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding and beautiful part of being a mom is having a front row seat to every moment of them growing up. They’re sensitive and kind, respectful and smart. They all do well in school and receive so much praise and so many compliments from people around our community. That’s a testament to who I strive daily to be as a parent. I just want to raise good, kind, loving humans! My boys are good, kind, loving humans! I’m grateful for my village and I’m so proud of my sweet boys!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

There isn’t just one. It’s been a privilege to watch them grow. They have so much more growing to do! They make me laugh every single day. They have taught me so much. When I had heart surgery I struggled so much with how long I had to be away from them. That was difficult, but it pushed me. I want to be around for every moment and every memory. Their weddings and kids— all of it! We’ve dealt with health scares, autism, life without dad. It’s been an unforgettable ride!

What would you do with $20,000?

Doing this on my own, I sometimes struggle to see the reality of buying my kids a home that’s bigger than our apartment that we’ve called home for the last 7 years. I want to buy them a house, with space, and a yard. They’re getting so tall and I want to be able to give them a comfortable place with room to grow. $20,000 would absolutely help make a down payment on our dream.
