Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is waking up to my two everyday knowing how much love I give and receive from them. I am appreciated and get thanked from them daily. The most rewarding part is being told by my children of how great of a mother I am as well as family, friends, coworkers, school staff and even strangers. We have a unique story behind us and I’ve had to do it alone twice in my life so being told how great of a mother I am is the best compliment I can ever receive.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

There are so many memories I have with my children but one of the most precious memories I have with my kids are the way they took care of me when my grandmother passed away last year. The love & support they showed me in my time of grieving was special to me. They checked on me, held me while I cried, cried with me, told me not to apologize for upsetting them. They took care of me although they were grieving as well. Grandmothers are so special and they knew exactly what she meant to me.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I won the $20,000, I would use it to pay off my kids high school and college tuition. Putting kids through private school and college is not easy or cheap. This may not pay off the full balance but it would help pay off a big portion of it. My daughter is on her way to high school and my son is off to college both in August of this year. If there was anyway to take them on a trip before he leaves for college, I would use it for that as well.
