Being a single mom & artist, I show my kids resilience, joy & creativity—skating through life’s challenges with love & adventure.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jamie Bailie in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The best part about being a mom is the deep, unconditional love you feel for your child—and the way they love you back. It’s in the little things: the way they light up when they see you, how they reach for your hand, or say something unexpectedly wise or funny. Watching them grow, learn, and become their own person is both magical and humbling. There’s a sense of purpose and connection that runs so deep it’s hard to put into words—it’s like your heart lives outside your body.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One evening, after a long day, I was sitting on the floor folding laundry, completely exhausted and feeling a little overwhelmed. Out of nowhere, my youngest came over, plopped down next to me, and rested their little head on my shoulder. We sat in silence for a moment, and then they looked up at me and said, “You’re the best mommy in the whole world… even better than superheroes.” I didn’t say a word—I just sat there, holding onto that moment. In that instant all of the hard days were worth it
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I’d put a down payment on a home to give my kids the stability they deserve. I’d take them to Disney World to create joyful memories we’ve never had the chance to make. I’d invest in my esthetics career with advanced training and equipment, and put some toward my rug-making art, which helps me heal and express my story. This money wouldn’t just change our lives—it would help us build the life we’ve always dreamed of.
