The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing the lessons you thought went unheard come to life. We think they’re in their own world, but they’re absorbing everything our words, gestures, small talks. Then, out of nowhere, they have that "aha" moment, and it clicks. In that instant, you realize they were listening all along, and the gratitude, pride, and relief wash over you. That’s when you know every effort, every conversation was worth it.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?One memory I’ll never forget is our “yes day”, Yes inspired by the movie! I worked extra to make it happen, and it became one of our best days as a family. We laughed over meals, asked silly questions, and ended the night at a fair with free rides and the best funnel cake in town. Hearing their laughter made every “no” from the week before worth it. That day set the rule family time is family time, and no technology or overtime can take that away.
What would you do with $20,000?I would set some aside to get us into our home by Christmas or sooner, making sure my kids have their own spaces to rest and be themselves.I’d also take us on a family trip to Puerto Rico to meet my father’s family a place that brought me peace and a sense of home after his passing. Creating those memories with my kids would mean everything. The rest would go into college savings, ensuring their future is just as secure as their present.
