Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

To me, the most rewarding part of being a mom is knowing at the end of the day, no matter how many times I’ve screwed up or lost my cool, no matter the amount of mom guilt and feelings of failure, my kids love me. All of me. Unconditionally and completely. And I love them even more so. That love has become as vital to my survival as the air I breathe.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget the time my husband and I had taken the kids to a drive through safari type zoo! We had ALL gotten up close and personal with several curious animals sticking their heads in our windows, but at the very end there was two HUGE camels and both kids were immediately terrified, rolling up their windows asap! I went to put mine down, and accidentally hit the button for my son’s! The camel was quick to shove its entire head in and I’ve never heard them scream so loud!

What would you do with $20,000?

That’s a tough question! lol I’ve lived paycheck to paycheck the majority of my life, so it’s hard to think what I would do with all of that, but I can say the very first thing I would do is fix my smile. Pregnancy with my daughter depleted my calcium and more, and for the last four years, no amount of dental hygiene has been able to save the wreckage. After that probably a much needed vacation for my family and I!
