It is knowing that I have to power to shape my children into individuals that can make this world a little bit better. Obviously, the world is a different place than it used to be, but by spending quality time with my children and giving them the proper love and education they deserve I’m also contributing to a better society with young people who will be filled with love, honesty, compassion, and a humble spirit. It is rewarding to be able to teach your children to ‘be better’ than yourself.

With all three of my children I notice that they have particular facial expressions they exhibit when they are sleeping and wake up to see me. My oldest wakes up and looks around like she’s never seen this place in her life. My baby boy immediately grins (eyebrows turn up) and all I see is teeth and a gap and my youngest wakes up looking petrified then turns it into a smile filled with gums. Hahaha, I’ll be telling them of this when they get older. It’s a simple thing, yet unforgettable for me.

If I win, I want to invest into a small farming venture and teaching my children how to be self sustainable off the land. I would like to teach them to grow fruits and vegetables, maybe even a couple of chickens and a goat. I also would like to put together healthy baskets of produce that they grew and give them out to the less fortunate. It’s important to me that they give back. To know you grew something with all your love and care and to them give it away to someone in need is fulfilling.
