Having my son has been a transformative experience. Through him, I’ve learned more about myself than I ever expected. He’s taught me how to love unconditionally and has shown me the kind of person I wanted to be for myself growing up. Becoming his parent has helped me grow into the person I always aspired to be. I also have a deeper appreciation for my own parents now—I know they did their best, and I’m grateful for everything they taught me, even when I didn’t realize it at the time.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My son was a baby and I had to drop him off at daycare, Id alway get there a little early so I could sit in the parking lot with him for a while. He has always been the happiest kid. We would talk (or I would talk and he would babble) or sing or snuggle. It was nice to soak up those extra few minutes with him every morning.
What would you do with $20,000?This sounds pretty boring but I would probably buy a new sofa and save the rest.
