Showing up for my daughter the way I needed someone to show up for me as a child is so empowering. I love knowing that I’m building a relationship with the coolest person I’ve ever met. Getting to be with her on her journey has been such an honor.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I’ll never forget her NICU stay. It was an intense 6 months. My favorite memory was when she finally got off ECMO and I got to hold her for the first time! She was a month old. I remember how perfectly she fit in my arms.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d love to say I’d do something amazing with it, but in reality, when we found out her diagnosis we relocated from Idaho to Texas so that she could receive life saving care that wasn’t available to us locally. In that time we accrued debt so I’d pay down our debt and invest at least $5,000 into her education savings fund. This amount of money could seriously impact our family and take some weight off our shoulders. Thanks for your consideration.
