My son was diagnosed with a rare cancer called AMKL back in July of 2024. Becoming a full time caregiver overnight was life changing.

The most rewarding part of being a mom is the unconditional love and the little moments that make it all worth it—the laughter, the cuddles, and the joy in my child’s eyes. Being able to almost relive my childhood through his and having such a hilarious little built in best friend.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? There’s so many but the one that unfortunately stands out the most is the day of his diagnosis. When our lives completely changed in a blink of an eye. The day before we were swimming in our gyms pool living our normal life and the next day they say the unforgettable words “your son has cancer. We’re transferring you over to St Jude” It hasn’t been the same since but he’s been so strong throughout.
What would you do with $20,000?Thankfully st Jude covers all of our hospital bills but being his full time caregiver has landed me without a job and still living in my parents house. My car broke down last fall so ive been having to borrow my moms car almost daily and for whenever we have our weekly appointments. I’d get a car so my mom can have hers back. It’s her first nice car she’s had in her entire life (she’s 62) and has had to hand it over to me. I’d like to be able to let her just enjoy what she’s worked for.
