Haley Martin

Honestly I’m like most moms, I’m a single mother who runs on coffee, works a full time job, and in school and caring for my little one.

We would like to thank you for supporting Haley Martin in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part is knowing I’m raising a caring, supportive little human. Seeing her helping people and caring about their feelings at such a young age makes my heart whole. She has a special needs aunt in a wheelchair and she wants to help her and worries about her. Seeing her share her light is all I can ask for.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

My favorite memory is when she asked if I could “teach her about “marrying”. I told her it happens when you’re older and she responded “ oh good I have time to practice and had time to do it right”. It made me laugh so hard because she was being so serious and sure. Having that conversation with my 6 year is something I’ll never forget and will make she her husband knows her had time to get it right.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would invest in her future. May it be her college fund or a home of our own. As a single mother I’m working as hard as I can to make it possible to one day have “our home” a place to make more memories, a place to watch her leave hand prints, and hear her feet running across the floor even after bed time. A place where she can continue to grow inti the most wonderful, caring and beautiful bright women I know she will be. It may not be much to some but 20,000 would be the start for us
