I juggled a full time business with taking care of my kids as a single mom. I offer my kids the same love & support in their adult years.
You decide who will appear in Woman's World magazine, enjoy a weekend getaway in Napa, and take home $20,000
Learning from my adult kids. THEY each teach ME something new every day. It’s a journey like no other and it can be damn hard, too. No matter what unexpected turns or challenges our lives take, and there have been plenty, I know that they know in their hearts that I’ll always be here for both of them.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My son and daughter taking care of my 97 year old dad, an Auschwitz survivor, then in an assisted living facility, when I took some much needed time off from caregiving with a trip abroad to Thailand with girlfriends. I was mortified, terrified and guilt ridden when I heard he fell. But they sent me a picture with them at his bedside at the hospital simply to reassure me he was ok and urging me to finish my trip. I knew he was in the best hands because they adored their Poppy as much as I did.
What would you do with $20,000?First, I’d make generous gifts to the Lustgarten Foundation (pancreatic cancer research), the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center, Break the Hold & to the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival. I’d ask my kids to split the rest. If they refuse a gift, well, I wouldn’t refuse another vacation with them again at long last. On my bucket list: Vancouver and Santa Fe!
