Ghenrietta Von Bloome

I consider myself a super mom because I can juggle doing laundry preparing a three-course meal, checking on my daughter while keeping sanity

We would like to thank you for supporting Ghenrietta Von Bloome in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Is it the feeling of creating a tiny human? Absolutely. Is it watching them conquer milestones, from babbling to bike-riding? Without a doubt. But for me, it's something a little more… unexpected. It's the unadulterated, unfiltered, and often unintentionally hilarious perspective they bring to the world. Kids see things with a clarity that we, bogged down by bills and Botox, have sadly lost. They challenge our assumptions, force us to question societal norms...

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I recall when my daughter wanted to change the world. It all started innocently enough. We were watching a documentary about climate change (parenting win!) and little G, all of seven years old with pigtails askew, turned to me with eyes that could melt glaciers (ironic, I know). “Mommy,” she declared, “we have to do something! The polar bears are sad!”

What would you do with $20,000?

I would continue writing, for it is my passion (aside from my daughter, of course). Respectfully, Ghenrietta Von Bloome (book author)
