Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a mom is witnessing my children not just learn, but reflect the values I try to instill. I’m proud when, after discussing the importance of kindness or patience, they demonstrate those same qualities towards me, offering me patience when I'm frazzled or reminding me to take a deep breath when I'm feeling impatient. We are constantly learning and growing alongside each other and I love that!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

So many memories flood in, but one particularly heartwarming moment was when I was teaching Maya (6) to ride her bike. After a few tough falls and her declaring that she would “never learn to ride,” her twin brothers' (3) spontaneously started chanting “you can do it!" It was just the encouragement she needed to get up and try again. Seeing them support their big sister reminded me that despite the sibling spats and arguments, they will always have each other's backs.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 can go a long way! Since we spend a lot of time at home as a family, the money could fund building the ultimate learning and play room in our house for the kids to interact, explore, entertain and do homework! Additionally, community service is important in our family we would make a donation to and commit and act of service for the local food pantry we support.
