Topping 3-4 hours of sleep on a good day, single parenting, homeschooling, tutoring, working full time, and trying to start my own business.
We would like to thank you for supporting Gabrielle Mitchell in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Just knowing that even on my worst day, I have this little person depending on me and just saying mommy you are the best followed by warm hugs and the sweetest kisses. Although the hours are unending and the nights are tireless, knowing that my son sees me as his personal super hero is indescribable. My son is the reason I was able to get out of a really dark and low point in life and is my anchor that keeps me grounded. Watching the gentleman he is becoming and making me a better person too.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?Aside from the moment his heart rate was dropping in the delivery room while giving birth and remembering how helpless I felt, then a sudden feeling of joy hearing him cry and seeing him in my arms. My baby and I have so many memories but second would be the look on his face for his-annual birthday trip dating to before he was one and watching how big he has gotten over the years and the magic radiating from his eyes like it’s his first time there. It’s our special place to just have fun.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly, a mom-cation would be nice. I would put money to the side for my son and then take him on a trip that’s long over due out of the country to Africa now that he has his passport and due to finances being tight. I don’t know how I will even make it to Disney this year with all that’s going on with my job (lots of layoffs). I’m hopeful, if there’s a will, there is a way, my grandma said. My son is so humble and loves animals and helping people. I would give my son the world if I could.
