12 years in the Navy, now earning my degree with a 3.9 GPA while raising 2 kids and holding down the fort as my husband serves in the Army.

The most rewarding part of being a mom is watching my kids grow, learn, and thrive. I’ve sacrificed time away on deployments to give them an education and future I never had. Even while battling PTSD, earning my degree, and juggling life’s challenges with my husband serving in the Army, I push forward to show them resilience, strength, and unconditional love. Every sacrifice, late night, and challenge is worth it to see them smile and succeed. Being their mom is my greatest honor.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I’ll never forget is coming home from lengthy assignments and seeing my child run into my arms, holding on like they’d never let go. The pure joy and love in that moment reminded me why every sacrifice was worth it. No matter how much time passes, that hug, that feeling, will always be in my heart.
What would you do with $20,000?With $20,000, I’d put it toward buying a permanent home for my kids. A place to grow up, make memories, and finally call our own. After years of moving and living on military bases, I want to give them the stability I never had. A home isn’t just walls and a roof. It’s where love, laughter, and lifelong memories are built. This would be the first step toward creating that for my family.
