That I love selflessly. That I put my daughters' needs before my own. That my greatest joy is being a mother.
We would like to thank you for supporting Esmeralda Teresa Hernandez-Polanco in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding thing is seeing my children thriving and being comfortable with themselves. I feel joy when they are happy and healthy. Seeing my children succeed in life everyday is a blessing. I love hugging my children everyday and telling them that I love them.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? The day my daughter saved my life. I am a victim of a brutal hate crime. My daughter was 3 years old when I was attacked. She hung on to my neck and cried that I did not do anything wrong. I was beaten while she was with me. She saved me because I would have been dead if she had let go. She used her body to shield my head. She is my hero. My other daughter was 5 and she cried for help. They left me for dead, but I survived because of my daughters, Evangeline and Bellina. They are 8 and 10 now.
What would you do with $20,000?I would start my life over in a positive way. I would move and get another place to live. I would also take my daughter's on a cruise because that is on their bucket list. I would enjoy my life and continue my work in helping others. I am a Crisis Support Counselor and work with LA Wildfire Survivors. I know what it means to be a survivor from a near death experience and it helps me to help others. I would rebuild my life with that money.
