As a mom (and a bonus mom!) and a recovering addict, I teach my children the importance of acceptance, understanding and unconditional love.
We would like to thank you for supporting Emma Carl in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Being able to break the cycle and teach my children they are allowed to be human, make mistakes and even be as mean to me as they could possibly be when struggling and I will still love them and support them unconditionally no matter what. Teaching my children that I hear them, I care about what they have to say, and I promise to never ask them to quiet their voices to make others more comfortable.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My daughter was born on Christmas Eve of this last year. Prior to her birth; we had been preparing to give my son a very happy and memorable Christmas as possible and it’s his first year to really remember the holiday. Instead I went into labor on Christmas Eve, and we spent Christmas morning opening gifts in our hospital room instead. Seeing my son become a big brother is a gift I’ll never forget!
What would you do with $20,000?With $20000 I would invest in my family. My husband and I have been sharing one vehicle between us both l, which makes it more expensive and difficult to transport my whole family around to school, daycare, my work, his work, to NA/AA meetings, or to families houses. So being able to buy my family a 2nd vehicle that fits all of us would be so huge! Anything else I would be invested into our kids and their futures! And maybe take a little bit to do m thing fun like take a family vacation!
