I left a DV situation for five years just a few months ago with all three of my girls, after a year of working sneakily saving money aside.
You decide who will appear in Woman's World magazine, enjoy a weekend getaway in Napa, and take home $20,000
The milestones they meet. Love little accomplishments from my youngest learning how to sing Brown Bear, Brown Bear to my middle autistic repeating “Happy Birthday” for the first time yesterday when she turned 4, to my oldest learning how to count change.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? My middle daughter who’s autistic and nonverbal used to be in an ABA clinic for a couple months, but it was an awful experience. Once I decided to pull her out, I worked really hard with her one on one. A week after pulling her out, she started saying the letters on my shirt I was wearing as she sat on my lap. I was in pure shock. Happy tears. The first time she ever spoke and she was three years old at this point.
What would you do with $20,000?My town has little to no resources, so I would like to invest in some more Spectrum/sensory friendly equipment for those in need because there are a lot of kids around here that have ASD. I would also like to take a girls trip to somewhere fun and different with my kids and myself for the first time ever since they’ve been born. I would probably let my oldest (she’s 7) pick where to go.
