Receive Text UpdatesThe most rewarding part of being a mom is receiving my babies’ unconditional love. Even when I’m at my lowest, I’m still loved to the highest regard from both of them. I know I’ve done a good job when my boys go to bed smiling every night. Having a child is like having your heart walk outside your body.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I will never forget when my youngest, Lucas (aka Noodle) helped his older brother, Isaiah (aka Bubba), who is severely autistic and nonverbal, go into the wave pool, and showed his brother patience and love. They ended up playing for hours together. Lucas is the “little big brother”. Their bond is unbreakable.
What would you do with $20,000?I would honestly invest in my children’s future and adulthood. I would do this by creating an organization that also supports families with individuals on the autism spectrum and other intellectual/developmental delays. This organization would be a safe space for all with providing services, advocacy, and weekly groups.
