Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part about being my daughter's mom is the opportunity to watch her thrive and grow in life day by day. Just her existence alone is a constant reminder of how unconditional love can heal. God's unconditional love has blessed me with the purpose greater than myself of being her mother and having a front row seat to watch his miracles at work. A child once diagnosed as failure to thrive is doing exactly what the doctors said she wouldn't do, and that's THRIVE!

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I will never forget that my daughter helped me fight Covid-19. She tested positive first, and I followed days later. Although, she only had a runny nose, I suffered with almost every symptom. I was crying and struggling to breathe one day, but I refused to go to the hospital. My dad died in the hospital April 23, 2020 from complications caused by Covid. My daughter found my inhaler and said, "Mommy I'm going to take care of you because you always take care of me, and you can't leave me".

What would you do with $20,000?

If we win the $20,000, a portion is going towards that trip to Disney that I promised her. The remaining will go into her savings account, and will be used to ensure that she has her needs met. I've struggled on and off financially over the years, and my shortcomings have felt as if they've deprived her at times. She will never do without. However, I never want to see her miss out on things that she deserves such as presents under the tree, a new bike, vacations, etc. Savings will help with that
