Not being discouraged despite the day to day challenges. My child has special needs and I work tirelessly to give my family the best.
We would like to thank you for supporting Elena Ramirez in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Seeing my children evolve despite their challenges. They inspire me because they’re full of life and work so hard to improve their lives (I.e., numerous therapies, activities, schooling, etc). Due to their tireless work, they remind me not to give up.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?I recall I recently had a horrible day at work. I was stressed and crying alone. My non-verbal two year old grabbed my hand and hugged me, and was joined by his 9 year old brother who also hugged me and told me “mommy it’s ok.” I love my children because they love and support me during the good and bad. I’m blessed.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use that money for my boys. My two year old son requires a lot of help as he is non verbal and on the autism spectrum. There are numerous private providers that can help enhance and improve his learning disabilities, and I would seek their help. As to my nine-year old, I would also seek educational help to continue to foster his goals. My 9 year says he wants to be an actor, and the money would be helpful to get him in programs that will enhance his goals.
