Connect What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

Watching my girls grow into beautiful, creative, caring young women, each with their own personality is so rewarding. Watching them dance on stage & do what they love fills my heart with joy. Seeing how they value family time, their faith and being a kind person to others makes me so proud. I constantly look at them in awe and think "I made them!".

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

Just days before a family vacation I re-herniated the discs in my back & I was rushed to the hospital. I was in agony but more upset that I was letting my family down. The girls hugged me so tightly & said "Mom, we don't care about the vacation, we just are so happy you are going to be okay". It may seem silly but as moms we put so much pressure on ourselves to be everything & be perfect. Them telling me that all they needed was "me" made my heart explode with love & gratitude.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would take my own supermom on a vacation with my family. I would never be the woman I am today without her strength & love. I would work with a local charity to throw a huge fundraiser dance event together. I would some towards savings or towards bills to alleviate the pressure my husband puts on himself to be the best provider for us (which he truly is). I would start a once a month party for just Moms where we could go to a venue, dance & have fun (but be in bed by 10!).
