Dominique Virgo

Abandoned, divorced, doing it alone—but I give my all so my daughter feels only love, not loss. That’s what makes me a super mom.

What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

I carry the weight of two parents, working endlessly, wiping away my own tears in silence so she never feels the pain of our past. I provide stability in chaos, joy in hardship, and unconditional love every single day. I show up—always—no matter how exhausted, heartbroken, or afraid I may feel. I protect her peace, nurture her dreams, and teach her resilience by living it. She may not yet see the sacrifices I make, but one day she’ll know: her mother was her first superhero.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

One memory I’ll never forget is when my daughter started speaking clearly around the age of 1. It completely shocked me—she was forming full thoughts and expressing herself in ways far beyond her age. I remember just watching her in awe, realizing how incredibly smart and observant she was even as a baby. It was one of the first moments I truly saw her personality shine through, and it filled me with pride, wonder, and excitement for the amazing girl she was becoming.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a single mother and sole provider, $20,000 would be life-changing. After a recent car accident, the financial and emotional toll has been heavy. I’d use the funds to catch up on bills, cover rent, and ensure my daughter has essentials like clothes and school supplies. I’d save for emergencies and her education, and invest in skill development or a small business to build long-term stability. Every dollar would help us rebuild and move forward.
