What is the most rewarding part of being a mom?

The most rewarding part of being a mom is seeing my son smile and thrive, knowing I gave him light even in the darkest times. Through grief, illness, postpartum depression, and fighting for our stability—including facing a lawsuit from a loved one—I’ve pushed forward so he could feel love, safety, and possibility. Watching him grow into a kind, resilient, joyful child reminds me that every struggle, every sacrifice, and every tear was worth it. He is my greatest victory.

What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget?

I remember sitting in a chair in the bathroom of my lawyer’s office, having a full anxiety attack. I was overwhelmed, scared, and barely able to breathe. My son came and quietly, stood in front of me, and pressed his little face against mine. Then his forehead touched mine, gently. He didn’t say a word, but in that moment, his love said everything. That’s when I realized, I don’t just protect him. I need him just as much as he needs me. He’s my anchor, my why, and my calm.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20K, I’d invest in tutoring and educational support for my son, who’s falling behind and needs help applying himself. The rest would go toward a down payment on an investment property to create residual income. This would ease my workload, allowing me to be more present in his life and give him the time, attention, and nurturing he needs. Most of all, it would help me build something lasting for him to inherit when I’m gone.
