I’m a super mom because even through shoulder distortion, I stayed strong—showing up with love, patience, and resilience.
We would like to thank you for supporting Destini Duenez in this year's Super Mom competition. Your participation allows us to aid Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in their commitment to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
The most rewarding thing about being a mom is knowing that, even through my mistakes, my kids still love me. Despite not having it all figured out and facing challenges in life, they still see me as their hero, and I don’t feel like I deserve that.
What is one memory of your kids that you will never forget? One memory I will never forget is taking my boys to a bird sanctuary. My oldest (who was 7 at the time) was so into nature and always exploring our apartment complex that I knew I had to take him. Seeing his face light up brought me so much joy! My youngest (who was 6 months old at the time) got to really experience the outdoors for the first time—pandemic baby perks. Plus, it was on my birthday, which I normally don’t celebrate, making that day feel truly special.
What would you do with $20,000?If I win the $20,000, I will finally be able to get a much needed car and take my babies beyond our local parks. I’ve always dreamed of taking them to Legoland and the beach. Having a car would also allow me to attend more school events and get around more easily with my boys.
